About Us

Welcome to Gîtes Aux Cœurs Joyeux!

​

We’re Julian and Tammy, proud owners of Gîtes Aux Cœurs Joyeux. In 2004, we made the leap from Wales to settle in the beautiful Limousin countryside. Our love for France—its culture, landscapes, and way of life—has always been part of us, and it continues to grow stronger each year.

​

Twenty years on, we discovered the peaceful hamlet of La Chassagne in Videix, nestled near a beached lake, and were instantly captivated. It was the perfect setting to begin a passionate renovation project and bring our vision to life: four charming and welcoming gîtes.

​

With pride and expertise in carpentry and design, Julian has carefully restored La Libellule Blanche (The White Dragonfly) and La Souris Verte (The Green Mouse), both now open to guests. Work is underway on La Chouette Rose (The Pink Owl) and Le Hérisson Marron (The Brown Hedgehog), which we look forward to opening in 2026.

The gîte names were lovingly chosen by our granddaughters, Sophia Blanche and Amélie Rose, adding a special family connection to each one.

We speak both English and French, and it is our heartfelt wish to make your stay as enjoyable, relaxing, and unforgettable as possible.
